Hectori Inc. · Geochemically-Based Surface Exploration: - New Paradigms* Cost-Effective Geochemically-Based Surface Exploration for Hydrocarbons Using Magnetic Horizontal Gradient and Radiometric Surveys These surveys can:

surveys can be conducted anywhere in the world where access to the land is
available. In Western Canada, and probably elsewhere around the world,
“magnetically enhanced zones” above microseeping reservoirs exhibit
distinctive magnetic signatures that can distinguish hydrocarbon pools, one
from another, even in areas, like Alberta, where reservoirs are stacked (most
surface exploration methods cannot make this distinction). Our surveys
cost less than the cost of a 3-D seismic survey conducted over the same area,
and are environmentally non-invasive. Click here for source of updated graph statistics. Hectori’s
magnetic horizontal gradient and radiometric surveys are discussed in greater
detail below. Leonard A. LeSchack, the President of Hectori Inc., is one of
the leaders in the field of surface exploration for hydrocarbons, and is the
co-editor with Dietmar Schumacher of Surface exploration case histories:
Applications of geochemistry, magnetics, and remote sensing, AAPG Studies in
Geology No. 48 and Schumacher
and LeSchack presented an AAPG Short Course on this subject 11-12 May 2006 in
